Women Awareness Group Ugrachandi Nala ‘WAGUN’ is an organized group of women (social activists) formed in 2053 B.S. and is located at Banepa-4, Nala, Shera.
Since inception WAGUN is devoted towards empowering back-warded women suffering from domestic violence through different campaigns and programs to raise voice against social issues and is working towards utilizing local resources and create opportunities at the local level to uplift the economic status of women and youths.
WAGUN advocates for women rights & empowerment, Climate justice and supports save soil campaign by promoting organic farming and organic fertilizer for health and for the environment.
For the economic empowerment WAGUN has initiated and promoted different Savings Group in the community and also is constructing and operating local grants whereas mobilizing resources to raise seasonal organic vegetables, weaving organic manure as well as operation of Sewing Trainings for youths are some of the activities WAGUN is promoting.
